Tips for Cultivating a Positive Environment

We should take a moment to think about what negative influences we have allowed into our lives.

I think the law of attraction is quite powerful. It asserts that whatever you put your focus on, you attract more of the same. That fact that our thoughts are so powerful that they are shaping my life still blows my mind.

This helps me to understand why my life is where it is right now. I’ve been using a positive mindset consistently, so I’m pleased with it.

Just like our thoughts and words are important when it comes to creating a life of happiness and success, so is our environment. The kind of environment we find ourselves in affects us positively or negatively.

If you have the news on every night about how awful the world is with news of horrific murder, theft and crime, that negativity affects us. Even if we’re not watching, the actual sound of the news may bring negative energy into our homes.

It’s the same with negative people in our lives. Being around negative family members, friends, or co-workers can affect us. This is because Energy is transferable, so if we submit ourselves to negative people often, their negative energy can make you feel depleted. It almost as if they suck the good energy out of us. In the case of co-workers, we can do our best to distance ourselves from them as best we can during work hours.

This even goes for negative songs, articles that you may read, internet sites, and much more. Choose music that is uplifting and soothing. Choose movies that have a good message to them, do your best to stay away from anything that involves violence or tragedies.

Ways to create a positive environment:

  • Play a positive audio book or uplifting music while driving to work or running errands. There’s a variety of inspirational speakers on several platforms to choose from. This is a way of absorbing good vibes while on the road.
  • Read books that are positive and watch TV shows and movies that uplift you while at home. You can also engage in fun activities with friends or family or play positive music.
  • Make sure your time on the internet is spent on
