When I think about the month that just passed, the word that comes to mind is ‘turbulent’. I started the month at a hospital back in the US while my mom recovered from an illness. Fortunately, there was good Wi-Fi there, and I was able to keep up with my writing which was essential in helping me process and heal from this traumatic event.

Upon arriving back home in the middle of the month and recovering from jetlag, I participated in some life-changing Semana Santa events. A week and a day later, the entire country of Spain had a blackout. Thus, my decision to intentionally add little activities to my life which bring nothing but pure joy.

I’ve enjoyed activities such as noticing how the sky turns bright orange above the horizon, how clouds turn pink and dissipate in just a few seconds before my eyes, the warmth of late winter sun as it touches my skin for the first time, tiny spiderwebs covered in frost glittering like crystals in the morning sun.

This has reminded me that it’s the little insignificant details that make life worth living.

My Medium followers are at 3,507 up 7 from last month. Not a big increase but an increase, nonetheless. I’ve had over 1.2K views on my stories this month. As always, still…
